Non profit organizations can be the Queer Senior’s best hope of getting help when you need it. While they may not always be easy to find, there are actually quite a number of services available. So many in fact, that rather than providing a list of services, Ozma is providing this list of lists of non profit community services:
It’s hard to say too many good things about Sage, they are the leader in Queer elder information and support.
The LGBT Senior Care Providers Network
Hosts this list of resources.
The National Resource Center On LGBT Aging
Provides a wide variety of services focused on cultural competency education for care providers and other helpers.
GayCity, Seattle’s LGBTQ center
Lists these elder resources
The Center for Positive Aging
Offers these Resources for Older LGBT Persons.
Lists a number of organizations serving Manhattan.
Openhouse San Francisco
Offers Housing, Services and Community activities for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Seniors.
The San Diego LGBT Community Center
Lists services, activities and groups.
Spectrum, Marin California’s LGBT center

Do you know of a non profit that offers services to the community but is not listed here?
We’d love to hear about it!
